The Fund of Funds opened the bids submitted for participation in the procedure for selecting intermediaries for the two financial instruments under the Education Program 2021-2027, co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus.
The bids submitted for the implementation of the financial instrument Fund for Startups by Students and PhD Candidates with a budget of nearly BGN 23.1 million are from:
- Thesis Ventures Consortium;
- Bulgaria University Ventures Consortium;
- Veritas Ventures;
- 314 Ventures Consortium;
- Planet 9 Ventures II Consortium;
- Consortium between Startup Wise Guys and Zornitsa Yordanova.
For Microfinancing for entrepreneurial of Students and PhD Candidates with a budget of nearly BGN 7.9 million, the applicant for both separate positions is SIS Credit AD.
The instruments are aimed at encouraging entrepreneurial activity among students and doctoral students in order to support the transition from education to employment through the implementation of innovative ideas and business ventures.
Their goal is to stimulate the creation and development of start-ups by students and doctoral students or other types of entrepreneurial initiatives, improving the link between education, science, and business and developing students' entrepreneurial skills on the principle of "learning by doing."
Within the framework of the two open procedures under the Public Procurement Act, the participants will be checked for compliance with the set selection criteria, after which their technical and price proposals will be evaluated and contractors will be selected for the two financial instruments.
