On 23 May 2024, the Private Equity Insights 2024 Conference took place in Warsaw. The forum is among the key events for private equity investment in CEE. The conference brought together leading industry professionals and experts, with more than 80 participants from across Europe participating in over ten thematic panels. The event rovided valuable opportunities to exchange experiences and ideas and build new partnerships in the region.
At the invitation of the organisers, CEO Pavel Lisev took part in the panel "Fundraising - capturing growing investor appetite". In his presentation, he focused on the role of VC financing, macroeconomic factors impacting market valuations, portfolio management strategies applied, and processes for attracting additional private capital to public resources.
The conference focused on three priority verticals:
- Current best practices in attracting private equity, highlighting the importance of agility and adaptability to current market conditions;
- Key aspects in value creation to deliver returns - process optimization, cost monitoring, risk management, improving human capital;
- Opportunities and dynamics for realizing exits - by going public, share buybacks, sale to strategic and/or financial investors.
The event also focused on the impact of geopolitical challenges on macroeconomic indicators and how they affect investment strategies. In this context, the need for agile and adaptable PEs was discussed, as well as the importance of sector-focused funds. Particular attention was also paid to the GenAI integration in the investment lifecycle.
The Fund of Funds' participation in Private Equity Insights 2024 underscores once again our commitment to broadening the scope of partnerships and efforts towards building synergies with regional funds and institutional investors.
