Supervisory Board of Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria EAD Announces a Competition for Members of the Company's Management Board

By a decision dated 14 August 2025, the Supervisory Board of Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria EAD has announced a competition for the selection and appointment of two members of the Management Board of Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria EAD (FMFIB/the Company), who will be entrusted with the management of the Company.

Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria EAD is a joint-stock company wholly owned by the Bulgarian State through the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. The Company implements financial instruments under funds, mechanisms, programmes and projects co-financed by the European Union for the 2007–2013, 2014–2020 and 2021–2027 programming periods, as well as for subsequent programming periods.

Pursuant to Council of Ministers Order No. 11 of 5 October 2022, the Minister of Innovation and Growth was designated to directly exercise the rights of the State as the sole owner of the capital of FMFIB EAD. The Company's Articles of Association were amended accordingly, changing its governance structure from a one-tier management system to a two-tier management system comprising a Supervisory Board and a Management Board, each consisting of three members.

Applications for participation in the competition may be submitted until 5:00 p.m. on 5 September 2025 to the Registry Office of Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria EAD at 19 Karnigradska Street, Floor 3, Triaditsa District, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria, or electronically by email to office@fmfib.bg. Documents requiring the candidate's signature must be signed electronically. Documents received by the application deadline shall be deemed to have been submitted within the prescribed time limit.

The competition will be conducted in three stages:

  1. verification of the compliance of the submitted documents with the pre-announced requirements for the position;

  2. assessment of the Concept for the Development of the Public Enterprise submitted by the candidates admitted to this stage;

  3. interview with the candidates admitted to this stage.
