The Fund of Funds Competition "Best Student Start-up at the UNWE" Is Now Open for Applications

Reading time: 2 минути

The Fund of Funds and the University of National and World Economy in Sofia are launching a competition for the Best Student Start-up at the UNWE.

It aims to encourage student entrepreneurship, to inform students about the opportunities for funding start-ups, as well as to help them acquire knowledge and skills in how to make presentations, set up teams and pitch their ideas before investors.

All UNWE students can apply, regardless of the year or field of their studies. Applications can come from individual participants as well as from teams, as long as they have innovative ideas for products or services in any area and at any stage of commercialization: an idea, a prototype or an already launched project.

To apply for the Best Student Start-up at the UNWE competition, you need to prepare a presentation (pitch deck) describing your idea or project and e-mail it to iccd1@unwe.bg, indicating your name, major, course year and contact phone number. Applications will be accepted until 31.12.2022.

Tips on how to prepare for the competition are available during the Mentoring Coffee sessions with the Fund of Funds. These will be held at the Start-up Hub at the UNWE Inter-University Career Development Centre on Wednesday, 9 November and Wednesday, 14 December 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Room 1008). You will be able to address your questions to Dr. Dochka Vassileva, Acting Director of Project Information and Financing at the Fund of Funds, and receive guidance on how to prepare a pitch deck and present it to investors.

For further information about the competition, you can also call 02/ 81 95 219 or 02/ 81 95 278.
