On 24 March 2026, the deadline for submission of applications for participation in the procedure for selecting a financial intermediary for the implementation of the “Technology Transfer Fund” (TTF) expired. The instrument, with a total public resource of EUR 57 million, of which EUR 9.43 million in the form of grant funding, is supported under the Programme “Research, Innovation and Digitalisation for Smart Transformation”, co-financed by the European Union.
The candidates that submitted applications within the set deadline are:
TECH TRANSFER CAPITAL Consortium;
Avenir Ventures Consortium;
NexTech Ventures Consortium.
The main objective of the TTF is to facilitate the link between science and business by creating a favourable environment for the development of innovations originating from universities, technology parks, research laboratories and other entities, supporting their transformation into sustainable businesses. The instrument will contribute to establishing good practices in the field of investments in research and development. Particular attention will be given to the Fund’s activities outside the South-West Region of the country.
The investment period is until 31 December 2030, while the fund’s duration will be 10 years, with a possibility for extension by up to 1+1 years.
Within the framework of the ongoing procedure under the Public Procurement Act, a compliance check of the participants against the selection criteria will be carried out, followed by an evaluation of their technical and financial proposals, after which a financial intermediary will be selected.
