For another consecutive year, the Fund of Funds is partnering with beamUp lab, the growth programme of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. The sixth edition was officially launched with an opening event and the first strategic Graviti MeetUp for the 20 new companies admitted to the initiative. This first strategic meeting focused on access to capital and how it reaches businesses.
Biser Petkov, Executive Director of the Fund of Funds (FoF), took part in the opening and wished the next cohort of businesses every success. As part of the programme, they will participate in a series of four strategic meetings, where they will learn about the full range of financing opportunities available, enabling them to invest flexibly and successfully in their development and growth.
Biser Petkov presented the Fund of Funds’ portfolio of financial instruments, with an emphasis on equity instruments and the debt instruments relevant to the participants’ profiles.
Graviti MeetUp 1 also featured our fund managers, Vitosha Ventures II and BaIIena Ventures. Representatives of the two fund managers explained how public resources are invested through equity instruments and what investors look for in companies. The team of Swipe.bg, a company that has developed with investments from our financial intermediaries, also shared its success story.
BeamUp lab promotes the growth of Bulgarian start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative companies by helping them prepare for the next stages of their development, including listing on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. During the programme, the companies exchange experience and business best practices, receive mentoring from highly qualified experts from the partner organisations and institutions, and engage with them professionally in an informal environment.
The programme aims to identify promising and innovative Bulgarian companies with sustainable business models, increase their visibility among potential investors and enhance their knowledge of financing opportunities.
The FoF has been a partner of the programme since its launch in 2020. To date, more than 100 Bulgarian companies from various sectors have participated in beamUp lab, many of which have received investment for their development through Fund of Funds instruments.
