The competition is organized for the third consecutive year by the Fund of Funds and the Faculty of Economics of Sofia University - FEBA, under the patronage of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth and in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Education. The final stage of the competition will be held on 31 May 2024, from 2 PM to 7 PM in the Aula of Sofia University in the presence of all 40 partners of the competition from the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country.
At the semi-finals on 15 May this year, an expert jury selected the ten best ideas to compete in the final. Here are the projects that will strive for the attention of investors:
Brick3D prints 3D construction bricks and organizes training in the flexibility of 3D printing in terms of color, size and quantity.
Truckspedia - a platform for automation and optimization of logistics processes in Europe. The startup uses AI algorithms to match available loads with available trucks.
Jobbing - Bulgaria's first online platform for low-skilled, short-term labour, connecting businesses looking for cost optimisation techniques with young people looking to increase their income.
Vita-In - a new brand of condoms with immunostimulating and healing effects that combine pleasure and a healthy lifestyle.
Enthela - a biostimulant that allows farmers to replace up to 50% of nitrogen mineral fertilizer use while increasing soil fertility without reducing productivity. The product creates a biodegradable shield around microorganisms, allowing them to survive longer in the soil and be more efficient at producing nitrogen for plants.
ReGrounded - an innovative, sustainable material derived from the combination of coffee waste, wood waste and other organic products. Safe for food contact, bio-based, durable, biodegradable, compostable and can be recycled repeatedly without losing its properties.
GreenFilters recycles cigarette butts (which are a significant source of pollution because of the plastic in their filters) to activated carbon to purify water, air, etc.
Hive Builder - an innovative educational hive assembly kit with wooden components and an AR app for interactive learning about beekeeping. The product is aimed at schools, families, corporate customers, and people intrested in beekeeping.
Mate Plata - an innovative product combining the ancient tradition of yerba mate with the need for natural energy and vitality levels. The product is made entirely from bio ingredients, rich in caffeine, antioxidants and revitalizing ingredients and it is aimed at people with an active lifestyle.
BuddyGuard - a platform that connects trusted animal caregivers with pet owners. The platform makes a quick connection between them, on a clear schedule and with timely and secure payments for the service.
The event will be opened by Krasimir Yakimov - Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth, Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev, PhD - Dean of FEBA and Pavel Lisev - Executive Director of the Fund of Funds. Invited are also Prof. Nikolay Vitanov - Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Yordanka Chobanova, PhD - Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria. The moderator of the final Pitching Day will be Dochka Vassileva, Head of 'Project Information and Financing' at the Fund of Funds.
